Fed behind the curve on Global Imbalances?
Take note on the monthly chart of the expanding triangle clearly seen in the Fed's action since 1982. It seems that each reaction
to the Fed's action, requires a larger opposite action from the Fed to correct. Such driven oscillations often lead to failures,
like a car oscillating out of control on a slippery road. When properly handled, the oscillations get smaller and the driver
recovers, but when behind the curve the car eventually crashes. Will we see such an event in the US financial system? Many
respected and experienced people on Wall-Street have been warning of the imbalances in the system and the consequences of any
failures like the Russian or Asian crisis.
